    I'm not sure that the second one works. There's a lot of clutter/distraction in the background, we're not really seeing the guitar and that speaker and stand just, I'm sorry, ruin it for me.

    The first one is a very good B & W conversion. Overall it's a stronger image than the second. Although I wonder if it would have been better if the bottom of the guitar wasn't disappearing out of frame?

    The first looks as though the original was a very colourful scene, but the second is much less so. I am inexperienced, and therefore unsure, regarding what makes a good monochrome conversion, but I was wondering if the second image would be better as a B & W crop?

    Thanks Donald, I wish I hadn't got such a side view.

    Thanks Philip, the crop helps, I am not that great on B&W myself, I just adjust until I find something I like.
