    Wind turbine at dusk

After going to a country park with my Grandson, we was heading back to the car when I notice this small wind turbine with a nice blue winters sky at dusk.
I was trying to get the shot and portray the cold winter sky, but I'm not sure I've managed that?
I like the shot (obviously, or I wouldn't post it lol) but would like to know any tips how you get a cold winter evening to come out on a picture?...... without someone standing there with a hat, gloves, and a scarf on

    Camera Canon EOS 550D
    Exposure 0.008 sec (1/125)
    Aperture f/7.1
    Focal Length 55 mm
    ISO Speed 1600

Well assuming there is no ice/snow in the scene, I think the best way is to make sure the white balance is cool. That will cause an assumption in the viewer that it is a colder situation. Your shot is pretty cool (WB cool I mean)

I see you have a photographic interest in Welsh architecture.

They are going to erect them in Westminster outside parliament - there are plenty of air-bags there.

The WB temp is pretty cool in this shot and the sky has that gloomy winter look so I would have assumed if I wasn't told that this was a mid-winter shot. I wouldn't try to drop the temp of the shot any more and risk it having an unnatural blue tint.
