    Quite ordinary actually

Extension tube on regular zoom lens.

What else can one do while sick and unable to go out shooting?
So to pass the time have been giving attention to the forgotten older pics. Not that there are any memorable ones in the collection!

All taken on the fly I presume.
Love the eyes, great colour. Funky (I want some like that).

Yup, it was. Came buzzing in and went straight for the window but no way out. Came home, saw him and was going to open the window to let his escape but then flash of inspiration - why not take a couple of pics first.

Did about 5 or 6 and then let him go.

Yes this cold+flu is really persistent...

    Nothing to sneeze about eh!
Perhaps you caught THAT bug and didn't let it go quick enough.
Actually, great catch. You saw an opportunity and took it. Kudos.

Yes it has been sniffles and sniffles and drippy nose for the last 3 weeks. Would have pm'd you by now about the Badlands if not for this.

Fly - it was a surprisingly interesting experience with the tubes. Left me wondering how on earth can people get amazing macro pics of moving insects - it was so exceedingly difficult to get focus. Also raised doubts about whether or not to get a proper macro lens.

On the last trip out was all set on getting a good macro lens but this fly episode made me rethink that. So will play around more with the extension tubes this winter and maybe pick up a proper in spring.
