    Oystercatchers

I took these pics last weekend. Have been suffering major withdrawal symptoms - this is the first bit of photography in about 3 weeks.

I love #1, nice and sharp, great composition. I also love the sharpness of #2 along with the smooth bokeh of the background.

Hi Mark! The composition, colouring and sharpness of all three are great. The first and last show a subtle white halo around the black areas but this is difficult to avoid on the intersection of high contrast edges unless you are very careful when applying the sharpening. Nice set!

    Just like the man said.

I never knew there were such things as all-black oyster-catchers. Must take after the rugby team.

    Superb photography.

Striking set, I love the colors. Orange eyes, black feathers. Shot #1 I would straighten the post, it is just slightly scewed to the right.

    Nice set.

    Looks like starvation helps.

Have not shot anything in 3 weeks (am sick) but if I can get something like this when I am fixed the theory will be proven.

    Mark,
    nice shoot.
No. 2 for me is the 'keeper'.

I do agree with Joe, a slight straighten of pic.1 would just make it more pleasing to the eye; even thou I think it's more that the top of the post, is actually not horizontal. (which is nothing to do with the composition, just the post. lol)
    Nice one.
