    Hello Harmon. I would have liked to see the shot panned down and to the right so you have less headspace and more of the flower's stem. Or maybe a classic museum crop / square. The larger issue however is focus; seems off (hey, my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, so could be me). If you're shooting handheld, while you're practicing tuck handtowels under your arms to create a tripod with your body which can steady your shot; have had some luck with that technique (golf lessons many years ago, who knew that would come in handy).

    I did a bit of adjusting and cropped via the rule of thirds in order to improve the composition.

    However, Harmon as you might know the butterfly, which seems to be your subject, is not in focus, the marigold is.
