    Is that what we called Guinea Fowl in the UK, John? I seem to remember them being called something like Gleanie when cooked. But like you said, although they were getting popular when I was a lad I haven't seen one for a few years.

    I suppose they have been replaced by cheap, and often tasteless, chicken which are a lot easier to rear.

    But returning to the photo. I would reduce the brightness of those flowers in the top left corner, which I find competing with the bird for my attention.

    And maybe crop slightly tighter. But I think this scene does have good potential.

    Yes, Geoff, Guinea Fowl is correct. They were especially good for making gumbo when I was growing up. Know what gumbo is?
