I guess, despite what it looks like to you and I, it is cleaner than what s/he's swimming in
Never thought about it before; as they don't have access to running water usually, they must just drink a bit of what they feed and swim in, when thirsty.
Interesting three threads on the swan theme today Joie, but I suspect you're slightly blowing the highlights on some (very easy, I can show lots of examples too)Feel free to comment!!!

Yeah, yesterday was a Swan type of day... they were just hanging out by the dock, doin their thing, and I was doing mine... Thanks Dave.
