An interesting quick real life shot, Ajith.

A pity about the brighter areas on the left, but not your fault. I wonder if they could be cloned out or at least darkened to reduce their impact.

Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

    Re: The rain

This is where a very shallow depth of field would really make the shot stand out. Nice shot, Ajith.

    Hi Ajith,

    The rain
This is quite a good capture, that said, one where I would use burst mode and capture several similar shots, allowing a PP choice for the best combinations of rain drops and subject positions

I agree about the cloning, burning of the closer large raindrops, here's my edited effort (I hope you don't mind)

    The rain

You'll note I also applied a crop to mainly to remove another raindrop and the guy in yellow shirt behind, however, now I see it, I'm not too sure that removing the guy was the right thing to do.

In hindsight, the palm tree which is only visible above the umbrella could be cloned out, or ideally, if taken a fraction of a second before, when more of it would be visible to right of subjects, it would have been better. I am being super-critical here and given it was quickly taken, it is very good as it is, the exposure is great, the smiles make the shot and the composition is good.

I love being out in that kind of warm rain shower, the stuff we get here in England is just too cold.

    Cheers,

I like this photo. Do you know them? I would imagine they would enjoy a copy of this photo.
Have you considered a b&w version? I don't do that much myself but this photo says "b&w" to me. If I wasn't half asleep I would try it myself...

Now that you have added more background to the setup was her camera part of your setup?
