    Summer flowers

The title is misleading... They were shot in spring, but I thought I could share them.

All except the first were from my backyard. I thought about posting them under "macro flower photographs" but they don't qualify.

Anyway, your C&C are always welcome!

They are all stunning but my favorite is the 4th one because it shows the process of the flower's growth. If you took the 3rd photo side ways and zoomed in a little bit I think it would add to the photo....

Thank you Jaimes, I'm glad you liked them!

I know they aren't perfect, but they have a sentimental value for me. These flowers are what got me into photography. For some strange reason, this spring my backyard was blooming more than every other time. So I started taking photos and within a month I must have photographed them over a thousand times! Most of them was rubbish but some came out well.

These were my first steps in photography

I like the fifth one best, although it could be slightly sharper. The first one has a very nice structure and again a bit more sharpness is needed perhaps. The other ones I like less, mostly due to the crop or background that distracts.
How did you process these photos?
And why exactly wouldn't they qualify? If these are the first steps they aren't bad, so post and learn I would say.

Hi, Giannis. Do you know what the last flower is? It looks like Stephanotis? Or, maybe Jasmine?

Yes, the fifth one is my favourite. In PP I increased the contrast, the saturation and I used Jiro's B&W technique to sharpen them and bring out the colours.

    Thanks for the feedback Peter.
