Great shots Rob. I love how you have incorporated significant foreground objects in your images...

Thanks, Richard. SFOs are the first thing I look for in a landscape. If there aren't any, then I find one and put it in.

What you didn't tell them was that this was an example of such a situation (he's a strong lad, y'know).

    Gorgeous image, Rob

The second one gets my vote rob. Very nice image, would make a great b&w as well.

Great photos, Rob. My favorite is #1. I can even see a couple of little droplets at the end of the blades of grass/leaf, and like the contrast with the flowing water in the background.

Thank you, Steve. I actually did do a BW, but couldn't decide.

I agree! Rob, it's like magic - another world - almost ethereal, really. and, the falls look like sheer silk. Really, really beautiful! but do we have to choose? The first three are wonderful, too. The first one is so, mmmm, I can't come up with quite the right word - palpable, tactile, tangible - it's like we can almost smell the water. Pretty inspiring, I have to say.

Enough! You know I am lexicographically challenged (that was a joke). Thank you for the kind words. Your A2 size print is winging it's way across the 'pond' as we speak.

Pooh yes the B/W version seems to get rid of the distractions of the trees and let's the water really speak...
    It is terrific

That's not fair. If I say that you are pretty and perspiring do I get an A2 print too. I could do with a new one. The clarinet shot is falling apart from all the dart holes. My aim is not as good as it used to be. Not that I hold any grudges against the winner of of the Music themed competition you understand

#1 is probably the best waterfall shot I have ever seen. So since I cannot say anything good about curdled milk, I'll quit while I'm ahead.

Sorry, I do not like the look of water on too long an exposure, it is unreal.

I wasn't sure. The colour of the trees is a good contrast, I thought, but perhaps there is too much competition between the trees, the falls, and the foreground swirling. So, on reflection, I think you are right - the water has more prominence in the BW.

If you were the dazzling diva from Vermont, I'd send one to you too. But you are just (?) the whippet breeder from Warrington. Get back to your George Orwell and chip butties.

My DB is the same. She can't stand it. She is a little less polite than you though. She calls it something else.
