Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

    The Giant Turtle.

Another shot taken inside the San Antonio Zoo in San Antonio, TX. I think this one is called the Giant Galapagos Turtle. Thank you very much for viewing.

Hiding under a carapace, slow-moving, turgid, beady eyes, and bad skin. Yep, that sound just like me.

Good composition, lovely colours, and interesting textures.

Nice angle Willie. Have a quick look at the Galapagos Gallery on my website I have just posted some of these guys there. Some facts I found out on my travels - they live to 200 years of age and bascially continue to grow throughout their life.

I tried to get a shot of one of these critters at the zoo, but the motion blur was just too much... Nice shot, Jiro.

(Nevermind the lousy composition, people... this was about the 2nd or 3rd shot I took after I got a camera, and didn't know diddly about photography. But I still get a laugh out of notion that the subject fell asleep before he could get where he was going. )

Will do, Peter. Thank you very much. I think the ones I saw at the San Antonio Zoo are really old. You can see from their skin that they are that old... and HUGE!

Thank you very much, Al. Maybe the turtle on your side of the pond walks faster than the ones we have here. Hehehe. Just kidding.
