Mary this is a fun thread to have started, it's nice to see a little of everyones world.... this shot is just a quick snap I took this afternoon when I went for a walk.. when I leave my building and turn right, 3 blocks down and this is the end of my street - the Strait of Juan de Fuca with the Olypmic Mountains of Washington state across it (somewhat clouded in today). If I happen to turn left instead and go to the opposite end of my street about 4 blocks down, I'm at the edge of the inner harbor and downtown. To me, this little area is the best place on earth :D

A park near where we live. The house is now an art gallery run by the town.http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1163/...50fcd365e1.jpg

do you think too much sky, not enough sea?
I guess since this thread is 'refreshed'... here is a pic of one my favorite areas where I walk every day.

I like this image very much but, would have liked it even better if a clerk was leaning on the counter looking out the window facing us...
Here is a view from the side of my road as I drive down to the freeway. I live about 1,500 feet ( about 457 meters) above sea level. I shot this using my infra-red converted Canon D60 (the old one - not the latest 60D).

This is my favorite "let the world go by" spot. It's hidden in the woods, close to our weekend house.

And this is my view from the kitchen window - at least on week-ends. I love spending the weekends in the woods - but I'm glad to be back in town on Sunday evening.

I've just made a pot. You are welcome to join me. I would enjoy your company. :)Quote:
Absolutely beautiful, Marie! I could sit and drink coffee and take it all in for hours.
