Week 10--The shades of bamboo
I was interested in the variation of colors in this small bamboo forest at Seattle's Chinese Garden.

That looks great. Really nice composition with the bamboo sticking out nicely in front of the foliage.

Thank you--fun to figure how to get it the way I wanted to show it!

Nice, I'm questioning myself if it would be better without the large green area RHS, so cut in 16x9 maybe better for me

Very nice, Judith, but I do like Jean's suggestion.

Week 11--Foosball in Westlake Park
A break from my usual subjects. Westlake Park in downtown Seattle, a paved public area, had become an unpleasant place to be. Then the Parks department put in lots of metal tables and chairs, a small climbing area for children, a giant chess board, several ping pong tables, and other things including foosball tables. Now the place attracts a whole variety of folks and feels safe to walk through again!

IMO a lot of colors make the composition a bit complicated Judith. How about B&W?

Thanks for looking! I will see what happens in B & W.

That scene is an interesting idea but I think you need a different camera angle; possibly get more area into the image as well. Or closer to concentrate solely on one 'man'.
The difficult lighting has worked well.

Thanks for your thoughts. While I am happy with the original image, I am always open to trying other approaches. The B & W lost the depth of the original shot so I went on to opening up the field of view. The only other shot I had was the one below. I find it too busy. I was taken with the reflection of the trees in the table top and I think that is lost in this shot. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

I much prefer that angle; it is exactly what I was thinking about when I saw your first image. But yes, a pity about that window or railings reflection which is producing straight lines; but only a small area and it doesn't really make too much difference.
Maybe crop out the two left side men which would give greater apparent depth to the scene? Would that give you 2 x 3 ratio.

Week 12--The Short Life of a Camellia
I continue to focus this year on seeing an image and careful capture. This one did take a little post processing to get what I wanted.
