Your favourite 3 shots of 2012

Ok, I'll give it a try, although I might choose different another day. There is something about images that are favourites I think, and it is very personal, because it is also what was behind that image, which emotions and memories the image might recall. Like Bagheera, the cat that owns the entrance of a grocery shop in the suburb where I live, a cat that chose a spot where no dogs are allowed, and the emotions this cool cat raises, dividing people into two camps, one that favours it, and another much smaller one that dislikes it so much that they want it forbidden.

Then the snake pit, where I spent so many hours as mosquito feed just admiring those beautiful creatures.

When I saw those parallel marks on the road I thought that might have been you screeching to a halt to take the photo ... but then I saw that it's just the shadow of the powerlines!

Fun on the water!

I showed my wife each of the images using the Lightbox. As I clicked from one image to the next, her response to almost every photo was "Wow!" And appropriately so.

My three favorites of the year.

First is a hummingbird that I set up the entire shot. Clipped the flowers, set up the foreground and background, lighting and distance. First time using a flash for wildlife............

The second is one i shot in january. I started to shoot wildlife photos in a wider angle. Very challenging to get things right. This is one of the first one's that i got right....................

Just being in the right place at the right time. This buck was chasing doe's around the field and gave me the opportunity to shoot some panning shots...........................

New Zealand is the only place I have been that stops traffic to make everyone passing through take a sobriety test.

Hope these are alright, the first was some sort of makeshift camp I found wandering my "Village" at night, the other is the city of Tumon. The last is the from the first set of images ever taken on my camera, now I would like to take photography more seriously, as I got my dslr earlier this year.
