lol ...I used a 70-200 f4L on a rebel xti..... shot on Apeture priority of 5.6
one at 1/640 and the other at 1/1250....Benn shooting on Program recently but ive realised its made me lazy and its not the smartest option...Glad you like em thanks

Rebel xti doen't exist in Europe as far as I know. In Europe is - I suppose - in the market as 350 or 450 D.
In this case, it has a crop factor of 1.6. It means that you are shooting with a 70*1,6/200*1,6= 112mm / 320mm. You are relatively near to my assumption ... :):)
I could guess that because I have shot the same sport before using a similar lens and camera :)

i think they call it the 400 in europe or japan....while the xti was a good learner camera I would not recommend it to someone who can afford a Canon with a new sensor...the noise above iso 200 at 100 percent image size is horrible and the shootign speed of only 3.5 frames per second is slow for sports.. plus the camera to card buffer is slow compared to new cameras...

This is something that pops up in reviews for many cameras but in my opinion - unless your cropping severely - it's not particularly relevant in the real world (it's not visable at normal print / display sizes).

Absolutely ! :)
Sometimes I think that just having a G9 is good enough to what I usually do.
But human beings always want more and more. It's their nature ! :)
Indeed, when you have a 5D and a 20D and L lenses you say that a G9 would be enough... Oh well ...:):)
:)

Hi Kevin,
I like those two surf shots, good compositions and colours (sorry; colors :) ), well caught.
I'd have been pleased to have taken them.
Cheers,

ok here is one last surf pic.. ( I took 190 of em ) I like this one because of the water running down the sides of the rock behind him...and if you look closely at the rock adn where the trail of the surfboard is cutting through the foam there is a large bubble forming....:)

Re: Small fig tree Beach near Setubal - Portugal
Hi Antonio,
Nice shot, but I can't help thinking that it might look a little better if it were a little brighter and (then) a touch more saturated?

Excellent first picture xhogan,
The sort of thing I like to shoot (with a camra, I hasten to add).
It is good to see you join us and I wondered, now you've done one post, whether you could nip over to the Introduce Yourself & Welcome Other Members (2) thread and tell us a little about yourself, what you like to shoot, where you're from, etc?
Thanks,
