Not specifically shot for the lighthouse, but it's the only one I've got.

I loved this thread when it was first activated by Joe and the new images are a treat as well!
Here is one from the 2002 archives. It's the Alki Point Lighthouse at the southern entrance to Seattle's Elliott Bay. The first light was put up on the site in 1868 by local residents. In 1887, the United States Lighthouse Board finally recognized the need for an official light and placed a lens-lantern atop a wooden post at the point. Several years later, the Lighthouse Service decided to upgrade the light and add a fog signal at the point. The present concrete fog signal building with the 37-foot octagonal tower was completed in 1913. The fourth-order Fresnel lens was eventually replaced by a modern optic during the 1960s.

Be it ever so humble....Ainster lighthouse.
This lighthouse is at Portland UK taken back in 2008 soon after getting my first DSLR a Nikon D80. The image is within a directory named 'Best of D80' that contains only about 20 pictures, and looking at them now I can only think that the criteria for 'best' was that they were recognizable and reasonably sharp:D

This was taken from a whale watch boat, on our way out. Not up to the caliber of the others in this thread, but it is a lighthouse. :D

This really isn't a functioning light house any more. It was moved inland because erosion was threatening the structure.
