Please guys, don't apologize to me. I started the thread but it isn't mine, it's ours.
And macro shots of plants are fine by me if they look good.:D

I am still looking for the name of these two. The whites are tiny, tiny flowers. Quite delicate.

A tulip, and a close-up of its middle. I like the texture on those petals.
Crocuses
Finally flowers are blooming in the wild. I like both shots so I would like your opinion
Thanks

Chamomile (makes nice tea as well).
Hi Peter, and thanks for your suggestion, I'll try soon. I like you chamomile flowers (better than infusion, I'd say).
I think the tea is ok, not very tasty but probably healthier than some other teas. Everything seems to be bad for you nowadays ;-(.

Anemone and its heart.
Peter, your macros are getting better and better...WOW!
ok. Hauled out my big lens and 550D closeup lens to capture these tiny and delicate spring flowers. They are called Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica). They are woodland and have germinated in my perennial beds quite by accident.
C&C please, as I do not often do macros.

I would need to know the size of the flower and what do the leaves look like....do you think this is close to what you have???
http://uswildflowers.com/images/full/gervisc01.jpg
Thank you, Nat.
The flower is tiny, dime size. The leaf, shown at the left half, looks like a piece of grass, but more reddish.
I am confused. On the site I was on (Ohio DNR) They show the a flower that looks like Spring Beauty (Claytonia caroliniana), but call it Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica).
It looks more like (Claytonia caroliniana) - http://uswildflowers.com/images/full/DSC_1231.JPG.
Thanks for looking.
Marie
Thank you Peter.
According to the USwildflower site, "Spring beauty" is the common name for the whole genus Claytonia, thus both C. caroliana and C. virginica would be called "Spring beauty".
And plant taxonomy can be rather messy/unclear at times, with species being split and combined or just changing names all the time (have a look at the orchids...)
Thanks, Remco for your input.
