Thanks, Antonio! I am glad you liked it :)
I think part of the feel you described is also from the fact that I put a lot of emphasis on the eyes (my wife thinks too much actually) by sharpening and brightening the eyes.
I like your suggestions, so much that I am going to give you the original raw file and give you permission to process it the way you have in mind and post it back here so that I can TFPH, how about that? ;)
So here is the DNG file:

And as for the fever, you were very close. He was asleep in the bed and woke up from the sound and light of my flash, so looks like he is hot from fever, where actually he was hot from sleeping under the blanket. Good guess :)
TFCH!

No, not a good guess but a good picture which could induce in me the feeling.
TFPH and for letting me work on the image. :)
My pleasure. Do you like it ? Gorgeous lens ! It's the new one isn't it ?
I had a look at yours and found mine warmer and more pleasant :p

Usually this kind of light is not common as it enhances the face in such away that people don't like. But here I think you have used one of yours soft box and you have got this stunning result. However, that left eye of her's...:o and a little under ... :o
Your images are connected with your professional occupation. It is quite understandable that you are supposed to have a different approach like Ali or myself for example, who does it for the fun and pleasure.
Yes, I know you do it also for pleasure. So much the better. :)
The fan also added some value to the picture. I feel you are a success in commercial terms. Good. :)
Isn't the canvas a bit overdone ?
Laura is also a very young and fresh beauty. :)
And Colin, TFPH of course :)

Thanks Anotnio.
This was just a trial shot. I intend to click this cute li'l girl this Sunday. The kid was real cranky tonight. Not in one of her best moods.

Thank you Sam for posting here :) (TFPH)
Our young fellow is well captured :) He is sharp.
Perhaps the background is not the best. But our young fellow's expression saves the photo :)

The light is too bright on the right side, I would decrease the exposure on that side using the gradient tool in PS/ACR. It should be easy to do specially if it was shot raw.

Thanks. It was taken on a whim while we were waiting for the rest of the group to finish the round of golf. I believe he was done with me taking photos. If I had move the background would have been worse.
