Re: Guess who's playing with his new 580 EX II flash ....
Donald, I may try to program a plugin for GIMP to do this. I will have to play with it a few times before I understand the process enough to build a comprehensive plugin, or I may fail totally to build it:(.
Weather succeed or fail I like the shot.
The surgery would be useless on such a interesting face, why ruin it;).

Thanks for the comment about the image .... and the face (I think!!).
If you did manage to build a plug-in, I'd be first in the queue for it and I'm sure that if you put it up on the GIMP Plug-in Registry, there'd be a lots of downloads. Writing stuff like that is way beyond my knowledge and capabilities. Do let me know how you get on.

I think you are very brave Donald and it is most useful having a head you can wear either way up. Get some haggis entangled in your chin pubes...no problem just turn your head upside down....none the wiser.....problem solved.
Gentlemen
Are you going to let a Scotsman get the better of you? Scotland the Brave, Braveheart, och aye the noo, and all that.
I challenge you to present draganized self portraits. Or is it really Scotland rules the waves? Maybe the Prince of Wales should become the Prince of Scotland?;) (but would they have him? He does like gardening.)

Did you know that, in Scotland, he's known as the Duke of Rothesay, not the Prince of Wales? Rothesay being the main town on the island of Bute.
But in a house in Glenfarg he's just known as another member of that anachronistic and medieval system of hereditary monarchy that should have been abolished many, many years ago. But republicanism is still very much a minority interest in the UK.

I don't want to get political, Donald, and I do hate to remind you, but we did get rid of them back in 1649, and we did have a (loosely-speaking) republican leader in Cromwell. But then we let the monarchy back in!:)

I know. And that ended up with wee Italian Charlie poncing about the Highlands and leading a race of people to annihilation and the ending of a whole culture in the post-Culloden period.

Who will be the true King of Scots once the border is sealed off and Holyrood rises to be the great seat of democratic government that it will probably never become!! And the tax laws change so he thinks it's worthwhile coming back

How about Scotland and Australia unite to overthrow the monarchy? We had a stupid (need I say conservative) prime minister who had a referendum on Australia becoming a republic: trouble was, he proposed a form of republic that he knew would be voted down; the spoilt brat didn't ask the question 'should Australia become a republic?' because he knew the answer would be yes and he didn't want that. OK, that's my political rant.
Back to the serious stuff - what about my challenge??? CiC could end up with 3 pin-up boys.

How's that gonna work then? A free Aston Martin DB7 (with ejector seat for English passengers) for everyone? Free marbles to put in your mouth so you can speak like the new King? Is he gonna use a haggis for target practice with the Beretta on the back lawn of Holyrood? And what may we ask is going to be your role in this new Caledonian nirvana? :)

Thanks Donald,
I did it for the monthly PAD a while back (speaking of which, we should have done another one in Jan:eek:). A fellow photographer came in the studio as I was shooting it - and burst out laughing!
