Week 20 - Malborough 'Airport' - I was recording wildlife beside the old WW2 airstrip which is still used by a group of keen amateur pilots. Not much wildlife around but some aircraft activity required a quick change of lens and camera settings which didn't allow for much 'thinking time'. Midday with a poor hazy light.
New hangar and old bunker, which was constructed as a cold war communications centre in the 1950s

Landing - With all local airports now closed this has become an important landing and refuelling location for cross channel light aircraft.

Week 21 - From Woodleigh Wood. We had a spell of hot weather with a harsh and rather hazy light which made landscape photography difficult but I had a go at a few scenes while photographing insects.
A big sky

Looking towards the village of Loddiswell - with a poor light angle. Definitely not a prizewinner.

You have a great wall hanger. Print big and stick on the living room wall.

Week 23 - Southern Marsh Orchid. Two groups of people, all dressed up in their countryside walking gear, went past a group of about 30 orchids but nobody noticed them. So I thought I will have a go at photographing one of the orchids in its wild state.

7D with Sigma 180 macro lens. 1/200 F18 Iso 400. Flash, on tripod. Merge of two focus points.
Nobody seems to notice the scenery or wildlife anymore. Or have I finally joined the Grumpy Old Mens Brigade.

Week 24 - Cows grazing near Hangman's Cross If I said this was California would you believe me?
No not America, this is California, South Devon, UK. Boasting a farm, fuel filling station, pub and 2 houses. Dartmoor in the background.

Week 25 - Increasing cloud. We have had a week of exceptionally hot and sticky weather but probably just a normal day for many other countries. Now back to normal with plenty of clouds and a thunderstorm.
After a bright morning with a clear blue sky some windswept cloud arrived about 9 am.

Thanks for the comment.
Trouble is the normal UK weather is wet and windy, like today. But there were sunny spells yesterday.
Week 26 - Bolberry Down, part of the coast path where I was recording insects yesterday.

That's a lovely start to the year. Looking forward to seeing those comparison shots and the local skies too!
