Re: Abandoned on the Prairie
Thanks to all who commented/edited. Certainly some differences of opinion as would be expected. For a B&W conversion I would have darkened the skies as Dan has suggested in post #13. To my eye however the added texture makes the clapboard seem a tad "gritty"
Mark, I was unable to view your edit in post #12?
Re: Abandoned on the Prairie
Len,
Indeed. I had a thought after posting that I overdid the texture. I didn’t take into account that I was working on a very small file. But I urge you to play with that on images of this sort. Done in moderation, it can really Bering the, to life.

Thank you for posting your photo, Len. It's a good capture and, I hope you don't mind, it's been great fun and good practice playing around with it! Here is one of my edits:

Thanks Mark, able to view now.
Re: Abandoned on the Prairie
Philip, cheers for that. I would be interested to see what you came up with but unfortunately I am unable to view the image?
Where about in Herts are you. Ex Harpenden myself.

Hello, Len. For the past 50 years, I've been living just down the road in Hemel Hempstead and I'm unlikely to move (unless I win the Lottery!). Is there a simple reason why you can't view the image?
Cheers,
Philip
