Re: 2020 Project 52 by Geoff F
Thanks, Bruce. The town is Kingsbridge which is at the head of the estuary. It is where I lived for a little over 30 years, before moving downstream to Salcombe. There are actually two parishes there, Kingsbridge and Dodbrooke, with each one having a separate church; although the two have merged into one town now.
On second thoughts I wonder if there is too much bland sky in that image; so possibly a crop to something like 16 x 9 might be a better option
I had wandered up a muddy path along a valley behind the town and a few steps later my feet slid away on a slippery slope which sent me shoulder first onto the field. That bit of muddy ground was somewhat harder than it looked and my bounce back isn't quite so good as it used to be. But no harm done, except for a coating of mud. :o
Here is another view of the town from the estuary, which I shot earlier that day.

Week 52 - My Christmas Garden Party. Today started with a little weak low angle sunshine but this obviously wasn't going to last long.

7D with Canon 70-200 lens. 1/200 F11 Iso 400. Merge of two bracketed exposures.
However, my guests weren't concerned about the weather as long as there was plenty of free food available.

Sigma 150-600 Sport lens 1/100 F8 Iso 1000. Not ideal settings but the light was limiting my options.

1/160 F8 Iso 1000. Not quite right on the focus but this bird didn't stay still, so this was the best I could manage.
I also tried a little bit of video

Geoff, these are an enjoyable set of photos.
So, you've completed 52 weeks. You'll hopefully be restarting in the New Year?

Thanks for the comments.
I am intending to do some sort of Project 52 during 2021 but it will be another Covid restricted effort, at least for the first quarter.
Some vaccinations are happening now in hospitals and a few larger cities but I can't see the Pfizer vaccine, with all its complicated storage issues, being available to a wider population in all our small towns and villages. Maybe that will improve when one of the simpler vaccines becomes available, but even then I don't see how I could get to a second vaccine shot before at least the end of March.
