Hello and thanks to all at Cambridge for allowing me the privilege of joining this wonderful web page. My name is Joseph, and am currently living in Aldergrove BC Canada. I am in semi-retirement mode and having been presented with a new Canon 60D, I look forward to many years of trying to capture that elusive perfect "Landscape Photo". This will be a great place for me to start. I look forward to your mentoring as I grow my experience in Photography. Fortunately, my wife and I will be heading to the Philippines and Thailand for 4 months. I will post photos as we go in hopes you will be candid with your critiques and comments.

Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Steve, and I live in Southern California. I am new to photography, but have been exposed to it my entire life - my father was a pro who work for LA County. His work was more documentation, rather than art. I am trying to learn the art. My camera is entry level Nikon d3100. I went Nikon, because thats what dad shoots and he has lots of lenses I can borrow.

Hi Steve, and a warm welcome to CiC. This is a great place to learn and share - both in the forums and in the excellent tutorials. Hope to hear and see more from you before long. Smart move, using the same system as your dad :)
Best regards, Dave

Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hi to all
My name is Nimish and I am based in London, UK. I found about Cambridge in Colour from a tutorial link forwarded by a friend. I have a wildlife conservation background with a fairly extensive involvement in tiger conservation in India. I also spent a significant period of time in Tanzanian bush. My love of wildlife led me to develop interest in photography. In relation to photography, my areas of interest revolve around wildlife and landscape photography. I have a particular affection towards sunrise and sunsets. I firmly belong to the Canon camp, and currently use 7D and 40D bodies. I look forward to posting some of my pictures and learning through knowledge and experience of other forum members. Thanks

Nimish - I greatly look forward to your involvement in CiC. As you may have already read, this is very much a learning resource in which people are encouraged to share knowledge and experience in a way that supports others so that they can learn further.
I hope you enjoy being part of the forum.
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hi to all at Cambridge in Colour.
I'm passionate about photography at an amateur level. A former member of the RPS where I still participate in the forum and attained LRPS membership in around 2008.
Eager to learn and practice, I'm probably going to be an apprentice till my own shutter fails! Hopefully still a few actuations left though.
You can see some of my images here http://500px.com/Nedward50 or here http://nedwar0.wix.com/ned-ward-phot...!home/mainPage and I have a twitter account where I hopefully link to photography in the main. https://twitter.com/Nedward50
I'll never be a good or well known photographer, I'm grounded about my ability, but its more than a hobby. Its a journey. I enjoy almost everything about it. From planning a shoot and doing it, to processing the images. I'm practicing as many genres and aspects as I can. When I started my interest was landscape only. The art and science of photography is a big topic and I have found it enriching.
Oh, and I tend to go on a bit!
Cheers
Ned Ward

Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Good Morning! I am not new to photography but I am playing more now with my camera and wanting to set up some photos and crafts for sell this winter. I do have a lot of questions on shooting in the Raw and I don't know a lot about that. I live in the Midwest and love to shoot mostly nature. I like people enough but I get a since of happiness shooting nature more. I love the colors that pop out of photos.
Where do I ask a question? I have a question about shooting yesterday. Nothing is showing in color on my computer. Tree
