Hello,

My name is Mathieu, I'm from Canada/Québec. I always liked photography, but just recently bought a Canon T3 with a 18-55 Lens. So far I like it. I found this website searching for answer on various technical or artistic answers to my questions.
I do photography for myself or almost only, not very interested in being a pro or semi-pro (For now at least), but I'm highly interested into making awesome photo and sharing them with other people.

I'm here to learn from other people to make myself a better photograph :)

Your last sentence probably applies to the vast majority of CiC members, so you should fit in well here :)

You'll have to share some with us, there's a link to the help thread on image sharing a couple of posts above this one if needed, or it is easily found under Help/Rules in the menu above.

Don't be shy to ask questions; we may have heard it before, but we don't mind answering and every question has a slightly different twist to it.

This forum seems to have good value packs,! I enjoyed and picked up good idea about basics. My good companion is a Canon S5is. I am an avid shooter of emotions,colours and flavours ....

Im Jarno from Finland. Found this forum a few days ago and got to say that it's an outstanding forum. Im new to here and looking forward to learn from you, hope alots of things about photography:) I bought my first camera 2003, it was Canon Powershot and last year I bought my first DSLR. It's been a challenge to learn how to use the DSLR, but I have found several forums and of course youtube very helpfull...I into the nature and sport photography, but also would like to learn more about taking portraits and street as well as night low light photography.

Hello! My name is Rosemarie and I'm from Illinois. I came across this website while searching for tutorials in photography and was impressed by the helfulness and experience of the members so I decided to join. I am a beginner enthusiast in photography after getting my first DSLR ( Canon EOS 60D ) last Christmas. My main interest is portrait photography (especially kids and couples) but I'm interested and eager to learn more about landscape photography as well as I have an upcoming trip to Alaska in a couple of weeks. I have attended some photography workshops but I do realize that I have to practice a lot. I do hope that I will learn from the other forum members. Thank you. :)

I'm sure you will learn here, the best way to do so is a) ask questions and b) share photos for critique and feedback. If b) do tell us the' how' (e.g. EXIF exposure info) and 'why' of the shot(s).

Hi Rob, yep its a Panasonic G2 ... do I need to mention its red?? hehe! I only got it at the beginning of May so am still learning all it does, but loving it so far :)
