Yes! Very impressed and happy! Thanks, Steve! These are just gorgeous!
I do truly hope that you feel better quickly but look on the bright side! If your nose gets very, very red, you can take a rudolphesque picture. Now, wouldn't that be a challenge? errrrr, JUST KIDDING!
Here's my contribution Katy :)
We have an annual 'Biker's Toy Run' where the Motor Bike Enthusiasts all travel from the centre of the town down to the coast near here. They have toys and gifts for families in need and donations are collected along the way.
I went to their meeting point before they set off, tip toed up to a very nice gentleman wearing a lot of leather and asked could I take their pictures as they went through town?
The Christmas spirit is alive and well...he said yes, so next week I'll have to go to the local Harley Davidson shop and give them their pictures.

Thanks, Suzy! We should take the boys out for a drive around to look at the lights, when Mom and Dad come out.
Alis, talk about a photograph telling a story! :):):) This is adorable! I love all of the red and the way the kids are sitting in the chairs - especially how tiny the little girl is. Wonderful! Thanks for posting!
Kay, sorry, you'll have to forget the response. I can't stop laughing! still.......awwwww!
An hour later, I look at it and start laughing all over again. The bear and the man - two peas in a pod!
My youngest kid put his winnie the pooh toy as a Christmas tree decor. I find it funny and nice so I took a shot of it. :) Thank you very much for viewing.

Actually, this is a really great photo, no? :) Clear as a bell, with excellent dof and perfect colors. It's so pleasing to look at and, I don't know how to describe it, a joy that you shared it! Thanks, jiro! Merry Christmas to your son, too!:)
yep! - that's just blown Rob's theory that we're all trim taught and terrific down here.....
I think this guy wanted to ask you why you were laughing at his mate?

We do the same thing each year with our Mini's...this year it was exceptionally cold and I was glad to get that buggy moving.

Tree went up a little early, lots of red lights this year.
Have a great holiday.
Cheers,
John

Kay this one and the one above are a couple of crackers. Beautifully captured and presented images, both telling a strong story. On this one, there's an annoying bit of lane-marking or something, creeping in just up from the bottom on the left hand edge. I'd be tempted to take it out.
:D:D:D THIS IS SOOO GREAT! I love this photo, Kay! I'm right there with my sister (Katy). I'll be laughing all day over these shots. To the biker: I'm laughing WITH you, in a joyous way, not AT you. ;)
Jiro, how did you get such fabulous color? Is this post prod or are you using a particular setting? Thank you
I did some pp. My typical procedure is to do an auto WB correction, check if I have blown highlights and try to adjust the right side of the histogram, adjust the shadow/highlight ratio manually inside photoshop and apply some minor sharpening adjustment on the final image. Glad you liked it. :)
Thanks Donald, it is the wandering eye and the squint.Quote:
Only you can 'see' Christmas decorations in this way.
Donald, you understand exactly where I am coming from and I am afraid we can hope for little sympathy from the female members...If it aint 11 hours in labour, its a mere scratch:(Quote:
And, please, my dear friend take great care of your health. I find that non-men struggle to understand the severity of these ailments that afflict us. They just don't see that, as hunter gatherers, we are exposed to many more dangerous viruses and need to rest whenever the first signs begin to emerge.
Actually I think it may have developed into frostbite with a touch of bubonic plague. I cleared the other freezer out earlier and my hands went white and I lost all feeling for several minutes. I expect to have to hacksaw a couple of fingers off in the garden shed later. WireVixen says I should n't take everything Ranulph Fiennes says as gospel.
Kay, I fully acknowledge Donald's role as CiC Alpha Male. I have resigned myself to skulking around the black and white competition results with my tail between my legs and a smelly kipper hanging from my jowls.Quote:
My advice is be alert not alarmed.....but you may wish to consider the the Wirefox-ish one is perhaps showing signs of being a more 'Brutus-esque friend' than the genuine article...
and actually hoping to see you slip up in the eyes of your 'Lady groupies'......only to assume the role for himself
Yes! Very impressed and happy! Thanks, Steve! These are just gorgeous!
Thank you Katy. I knew you would understand. As for the nose I am already there I am afraid. WireVixen has bought me a nice box of pink tissues for work. She says my toilet tissue will eventually wear the septum away and will not look overly professional sitting on my desk...its never bothered anyone before:)Quote:

Kay, I love the Biker shots but these bikers are way too clean and tidy. I used to sleep in my Bike leather to get the right look and leather pants are way to camp for the Services on the M6:D I do not think Rob will be impressed. The Welsh bikers are straight back from a raiding party with Atilla the Hun. I have been to a few Welsh bike meets and they are pretty scary it is like going back in time when Gunther was still doing his shopping on the Welsh coast.
I really don't know what you mean?

Sorry to hijack your thread Katy! - I promise I will take some proper Christmas shots very soon :)
and Steve - I think they were the 'older generation' of Bikers - they looked more like your Keith Richards than your Robbie Williams.
