Thanks Sandy for your kind comments.
A much closer look to the "hairstyle" is still on my 'to-do-list'...:D

Week 19, nicely seen and captured.
Wow Rudi - you do some great stuff, but this is one of the best - detail, composition, colour, just brilliant.
Amazing details on this latest one!!!
Thanks John, Bill and Nandakumar for the nice comments.

week 21: Oedemera nobilis, or swollen thighed beetle: A slender middle sized beetle, about 10 mm long. It is shiny bright green, frequently with a golden or coppery shine, and some are blue or violaceous:
The male has the hind femora very swollen, the female has thin femora.

Those beetles are a real struggle to photograph and get a decent exposure on such a wide range of light values. I find light shade can help but that tends to introduce subject movement or noise issues. So well done with this image.
Nice one for week 21, I like the fact you included the identity also.
Hi Rudi - for a bug.... well an Oedemera nobillis - so maybe a noble bug :D.... it is a beautiful color of variations of green! The detail you pull from your macro photo efforts is well done! :)
week 22 : A ladybug puppa, about 5 mm long.

Your patience and skills have been well rewarded here Rudi. Excellent!
This is another "Wow" photo/stack of my favorite little bug! It is enjoyable seeing what you are able to put into "focus"! :D
Another potentially tricky exposure from a reflective surface but you have managed to keep everything bright without any over exposure issues.
Thanks Geoff and Sandy for taking time to comment. For now, I think I have the flash reasonably well 'under controle'..:D
Week 22, nicely captured.
