This is Sherman Falls, one of the many falls in Hamilton, the City of Waterfalls.

I tried this in mono; I'm not crazy about the effect. I may try using Silver Effects and see how it looks. The leaves have translated into chunks of glittering rock.
I prefer this colour version.

Here is another try at mono. This tree trunk looks as though it may have been hit by lightning. I tried using Silver Effects on this also.

Sherman Falls, continued.
I decided to go back today with my tripod ant try some additional shots with longer exposures.

Both of these exposures had a blue tinge. I found that I had left the white balance at cloudy from yesterday, while today was bright and sunny. I used Lightroom to try to correct this, with a little success.

Hi Joe!
Seems like there is always something not quite to our liking. The blue tinge you mentioned doesn't look terrible to me but I understand why you'd want to balance your pics. The water looks silky so you must have slowed down the speed you used from the one before these?
I actually prefer this photo over the last ones you posted! And I like it in color rather than in mono. I don't think there is enough shades (variations) of color to make it look striking as a mono pic. So yes, I prefer this one. :D Well done!

Re: 2017 Project 52, fourth quarter by Joseph Small <joebranko>
Joe,
You can avoid all that extra text stuff surrounding your images:
First find out the URL and only the URL from Flickr . . for the seaside geezer, that would be:
Code:
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4475/37656025542_c5991c42b3_o.jpg
And no more than that . .
Then in your post, type:
. . just the IMG and the /IMG with their square brackets.
Paste your URL between those two BB codes and voila! the pic will appear thus:
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4475/...991c42b3_o.jpg

Hi Joe,
In the link you've posted, you have an extra bracket [ right before the https:// It should only be [IMG]https..... Hope this helps?
And that pic that isn't showing yet is lovely. Looks like it is an uphill climb?
Your second Cootes Paradise pic is downhill and more my style of walking! <lol>

I tried Nandakumar's suggestion: Here it is:-

I like it; I think I need to play with the aspect ratio some more....?

Re: 2017 Project 52, <fourth> quarter by <Joseph Small> <jeobranko>
There is a bit more brightness in the edit which makes a lot of difference.
Several options with this image. A portrait style crop does concentrate the scene although I tend to find my view going mostly towards the tree tops. A square crop will concentrate more on the path. Depends on what sort of effect you want.

Thanks Geoff. When I first saw this scene in reality my gaze also went to the treetops. So I think I am attracted to that POV. Thanks again for your perspective.

Some significant snow for the first time this winter. I have photographed this pond many times befere in the summer and the fall: here it is again.

I thought that with all the snow and dark trees this would be a good candidate for mono.

Works well, Joe, plenty of contrast but nothing clipped in either direction. Well focused foreground leading towards the far distance.
