Today's picture is the marquee on the front of our Micro Biology building. It is DNA coding. Supposedly there is a message but I've never figured it out and anyone who has won't tell. Tomorrow I'll photograph a similar marquee which is on the back of the building. It also has a message but almost anyone can figure it out.

Thankyou my dear boy. I was particularly pleased as I had two distinct disadvantages when I took this at such a late-evening time of day. One was the sinking sun about to bring out the local vampires. Two was the nagging DB/Head Gardener holding the black screen backdrop. Those two factors may not be unrelated...:)

I worked on Le Flower's sister, La Fleur. I used less light than before - trying to tame the highlights and shadows - and, tomorrow, I will use more light. Just fiddling around. I learned how to use the mirror lock, too. :) Can you tell that I really need a macro lens? Rob says that he's the master of wifely psychology. Does anyone have any advice about how to get a husband to give in to a new lens??? It's reeeeeeeeally important guys - I'd be so appreciative.....
Well, I can think of one thing that usually works ... :DQuote:

These two are better, although I prefer the second by far

YELLOW FLOWER
I passed this yellow flower along the road for several days before stopping to shoot it. It is alwys at its best in the late afternoon light...
I only had my 300mm lens with me which accounts for the shallow DOF...

Our Goldie, who's 11 months old now. She's a happy girl, but it's hard to get photos of her, because she's so exuberant. However, if I go outside when she's already out, she comes running. So I took advantage of that.
C&C are always welcome.
Cheers,
Rick
