The demise of "Le Flower"!

Friday night, I did something that I didn't think was possible. I left my camera in my mom's car. It's been superglued to my hands since I got it 3 months ago. Well, it was immediately put in a safe place but couldn't be retrieved until this (Sunday) afternoon. For the first time in two months, I haven't taken a photo a day. Strange! Well, I took this photo Friday evening. Thought you ought to know....
Re: Market Day; Say Hello to Ellie; Misty,Damp day; Mud, mud, glorious mud...
The market is very well done, Grant. The diagonal created by the bananas and watermelons across the foreground is excellent. And those colors in the foreground are great. Overall, a great image.
I really like the shot of Ellie, Colin. Using the tree in the foreground (or whatever it is) to get an inner matte concept is wonderful. The colors match perfectly, and the effect works really well.
Pat, this is a beautiful brooding surf. There's a technique out there about DOF where you make sure that the foreground is is focus, and I think you used it very well here: there's more detail in the rocks in the foreground, which is where the finest details will be available. I like the effect.
Very interesting shot, Tim: is the brighter oval in the center caused by lighting, or is it from water that had been on the surface? Either way, it adds to the shot, I think, as it focuses the attention.
Cheers,
Rick

Straight out of the army into a paramedic role, or that is what usually happens. Helicopters frighten the life out of me though, I turned down a flight in a 22 sqdn rescue helicopter.
Very nice shot, better than the ones I see on the telly.

Re: Book ends, Just one of those days, Amur Maple, Mutual grooming!
I like it, Pete. A nice concept, well captured.
The kitty shot is a little busy, Geoff, but I especially like the white-on-blue towel with the white-on-brown cat. The gray around the cat helps keep it from disappearing.
The leaf is beautiful, Stan. The colors are very well done. Would it be worth cloning out the spot along the stem? It just distracts a little.
A wonderful shot, Rob. The way the farther one seems to be laying his or her head n the nearer one looks like true love. Really catches a moment.
Cheers,
Rick

Nice picture Hoan,
