Of course these wind speeds are reached during gusts and at the time of my shot it had to be much lower.

What a super photo Jean - it really captures the power of the sea.

The pole is a Cardinal Mark - this one has the two triangles with one pointing up and the other pointing down which means there is safe water to the east of the marker.

I learned this 30 years ago for my boat license, but since I did not practice, so I forgot :(

Amazing shot and timing. Would look great in large format on the wall. I like the first image best.

Very good exposure! I like #1 as the environment shot but I prefer #2 because it is scarier...

Jean, I prefer the first version because it has a more natural view to the wave action. How did you get this picture in the first place?

You are right John up to 190km/h, it exceeded the forecast, fortunately not where I took this picture, in addition I was protected by a wall:)
