Too many dead pixels? New Camera Body?

Easiest way to test for them is to simply set the camera to manual - dial in a 30-second exposure at F22 (ish) ISO 100. When it's done just review the image on the camera's screen, but with it magnified 10x (you'll need to scroll through the entire image).

What should I be using as composition? With the cap on I was able to blow up to 100 and see quite a bit using those approx. settings.
