Don't believe it. Images that good aren't created by someone who just shows up and operates the equipment. In the first instance, they've had to spend a lot of time practicing to be able to operate the equipment to the standard required to make images as good as this.
In the second instance, these are not just snapshots. These are all (as with every image that Dan posts on here) highly artistic, beautifully composed images. To achieve that with wildlife on the move takes a skill beyond that of a 'mere' technician.

Donald, I still view wildlife shooting as primarily technical skills. Plus a bit of field craft. When I have enough time to organize my thoughts and articulate them I'll start another thread on the "typical" progression of wildlife photography skills/practice.
