Ammonia vapors deaden the olfactory after a few minutes. It's a well documented phenomenon. Unfortunately it'll be a few more weeks before I can stomach fish again. And us with a freezer full of salmon and halibut :(
It's times like these that separate those who are truly dedicated to their craft. Then again maybe you just don't have to be too smart to trip a shutter on a camera :o

You have a freezer in Alaska - I hadn't imagined such a machine would be necessary up there :)

Bears, ravens, wolves, etc, are unfortunately fond of the same things that we enjoy. Which gave rise to the traditional elevated storage "cache". It's easier for us urban dwellers to simply plug in a freezer in the garage :)
