I saw this post very early in the morning but I was too tired to respond to it so here I am late as usual. Grahame, I like #1 between these two as the wide scenery is very inviting. The colours are excellent and the shape of the clouds itself sort of led to the location of the rocks or the rocks led to looking at the clouds as in a triangle position. In #2, the crop lost that essence. Just my thoughts.

Both nice images, but #1 looks great Grahame :)

Hi Izzie,

I see that triangle now that you have mentioned it:)

As for the colours, it was hard not to overcook them and go beyond subtle.

For info with this scene and your interest in long exposures there was hardly any difference in the water affect with exposures taken between 6s and 30s. I put that down to the water being extremely calm with just a slight swell of a few inches.
