Nice work.
There is certainly drama in each image and to a varying degree in each, but not all of that drama is created solely by the light.

The topic is: "The Dark Side of Light" – does that mean the Light on the Subject or; the Light on the Scene or; both?

Re: The Dark Side of Light - Lighting Boot Camp - C&C Welcomed
Thank you Bill.
The lighting should make the subject the focus; however, what you do with the background can enhance the subject as well. Quality of light on the subject is key; the quality of light on the girl with the veil over her face is not where it needs to be -- if I had gotten that better, the image would have been enhanced. The upside is, I know what I did wrong ;-) Hope that answers your question.

Yes it does: completely. The example you gave about the image of the Girl and the Veil solidified my understanding of The Concept.
Thank you.

Isn't that what really matters? I think that is part of the lesson. Besides where would the fun in it be if it were too easy?:D

Absolutely Mark - I feel in order to grow, I need to take a look at every image I take, ask myself what I don't like, and then ask -- what went astray/how do I fix it next time.
