Week 19--On The Road Again--C & C always welcome
Taken through the windshield of our car at 60 mph with my trusty Coolpix S9700. When I saw the way the road laid ahead it seemed like a keeper. Shot with shutter priority at a high shutter speed. However I knew it would need some help. I first ran it through the adjustments in the PSCC raw filter, then increased saturation, adjusted the green independently, and did some spot healing to remove unwanted objects.

Week 20--Crowsnest Mountain--Alberta
Taken with Nikon D40x in RAW--Car was stopped! Photo just needed some work because of time of day and a few distracting elements. Raw adjustments and some small amount of burning and dodging got the image I was hoping for. All comments happily accepted.

Lovely image... You did a nice job in eliminating the sign lower image left and the overhead wires through the center of the image...
I might think about reducing the shadow density in the mid-range trees...

Great shot and PP! Well done!

Nice job with the Week 20 shot, Judith. I saw your Week 19 project yesterday, but had to run off before I could comment... Just wanted to say that I really like the graphic quality of this shot, but found the colour a bit off. On my screen, your whites appear to be tinted green, an impression that was confirmed by the histogram. You might want to check on your own computer. If your histogram reads the same, I would suspect this is the result of your globally adjusting for the green of the fields. If you can't make a selective adjustment just for the fields themselves, you might want to make some white balance adjustments at the highlight end.

Had adjusted the green with selective color--did not notice it had affected anything else. Thanks for your comment. I will go back tomorrow and look at it.

Week 21--Every Which Way But Up
Still catching up from being away. This is a cell phone photo taken from a moving car. It does lack some sharpness but I still liked it. C & C always welcome.

I like your eye, Judith. This might be interesting in b&w as well.

Interesting thought! I will play with that idea a bit. Thanks!

Great composition Judith. This gives me an idea for a bridge in my City. Thanks for the inspiration!

Have at it----lots of good compositions in architecture of all kinds!

Great eye for the mundane to some but interesting once I spied others can make something out of a seemingly ordinary thing in my eyes. Great inspiration.

Week 22--Is this my rainbow?
still catching up--so many photos, so little time!
Taken with Nikon D40X-- shot in RAW--Was busy photographing the Bighorn Sheep in the Waterton Lakes campground when this caught my eye. Since my brain was elsewhere I took a couple of quick shots without really honing on a final concept. Hence lots of post-processing work was needed.

This is cute....and was meant to be noticed and shared. Most times, simple can be best. This is to me like street photography --but with objects. You thought quick on your feet...Well done.

Thanks, Izzy! I hoped others might share my whimsy.

Week 23--Never the twain shall meet---
Leaped out of the car with my Coolpix S9700 when I saw this--no time to find my bigger Nikon. I love lines! Camera was set shutter priority with a high shutter speed for using from a moving car and I didn't think to readjust it. I am pleased that my post processing skills are improving.

I prefer the original from the edit Judith. The ground made it more purpleish in the second. The grass in the middle is more pronounced and sharper but I like the composition of the first one with a chance of peeking through a little bland cloud there and more lines the better.

For me the pp version is more appealing. I live the bolded colours and increased contrast.
