Now that I've read your intro and plot development I think you were born to write.

To continue the story might I suggest...

Christy glanced at her fiancé who lay at her feet in a pool of a blood. She was thankful that he, at least, had received a merciful death accomplished with a single bullet between the eyes. She observed that their host, a man with a truly angelic face, who had just perversely smashed his drink upon the counter top was smiling at her. Upon seeing the sharp and jagged shards of glass she feared for sanity more than her life. :D

I don't know about anyone else around here, but I'm eagerly waiting for Chapter 2 of the novel.
