Ok I'll keep it simple, I like the image for its simplicity and find the texture/action of the water perfect.

For those of us that don't have 12 stops of dimmer screwed to the front of the lens we will just have to continue getting up real early in the hope of finding flat water:D

Thank you, Grahame. I have definitely sensed a shift in how I'm thinking/feeling about images. Simplicity/minimalism (call it what you will) appeals more and more to me.

Me too - I find my (few) landscapes are often to busy (aka 'spoiled by reality'), but if you take a coastal/estuary scene, then 'simplify' that (by use of super-long exposure time), it goes a long way to solving those problems.
