Brian, I have also got a large bush covered with hundreds of these flowers but to date have not attempted to photograph one.

With the new camera I now have I've found that I can select individual histograms for each of the RGB channels so I'll have a go at capturing one now I've seen yours.

The only hint I have is that I have found slightly underexposed helps. Good luck. These flowers have proven very difficult for me to find the beauty with the camera that I see with my eyes.
