My eye sight must be getting bad, what happened to my Jumping spider, I see some guy stringing a tennis racquet. Not even one of my photo's?

Greg, I know from reading other threads that a few folk have had difficulties with TinyPics. Is that what you use? If it's any consolation, my computer still shows your jumping spider.

I saw your jumping spider too, Greg...
Re: Any bug photos during July 2015
Really strange, I use Tiny pics and I just edited my post and put the spider image back but it still came up as the Wilson racquet centre but if you guys still see my spider that's ok I guess.
Must be a Tiny pic glitch

This is not as good as Ziggy or any of you here in the bug-o-graphy forum, but I tried my best, Grahame...Geoff and David and Mark...
It is not a bug according to Wikipedia but a butterfly is an insect but I have seen some submitted some butterfly and David, my bugman friend, this is real serious image I found in my garage door going to the backyard... and it is not a BUTT--er-fly...I do not know what it is...if it even have an ID...

That is a Skipper (Butterfly) Izzie. Many different types and sizes.
Most times you see them skipping from one bloom to another.
Re: Any bug photos during July 2015
Very nice Izzie, great sharp detail on the eye
Re: Any bug photos during July 2015
Certainly not unusual but perhaps interesting? The advice was given here that F/14 was a good goto for macro. This was shot at F/14 and it turned out rather nice for DOF

I must admit that i have thoughts of a dedicated macro lens but there is also the satisfaction of getting the most out of what you have. And I don't believe i have even scratched the surface yet of this cameras capabilities.

Assuming it's not just from a typo - tinypic recycle their URLs, so the URL they gave you for one image will over time be recycled for someone else's. This can occasionally go really wrong, where an image you've sent that was fine for one context is replaced after a while with uh, not safe for work / not safe for life content.
Also I seem to remember they use some pretty heavy handed recompression even on already compressed images, if you need another incentive not to use it.

In any case I would seriously reconsider using it, over a long enough time frame it has been known to replace safe content with transsexual pornography as reported here. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just, the surprise element of it is perhaps a dealbreaker.
