Blame Geoff -- he told me to photograph some flower so I do not get too stressed. Well...I followed his advice but did not shoot any flowers nearby...I decided to put my tripod on the very low area of my deck facing the bird feeder. The remote did them all shots. I was inside my kitchenette watching any movement and praying I got some flyers. After 300 shots...many posing repeats and blurs I finally have settled down to around 38 shots more acceptable than the rest. Then to discard more for uploading...I also followed Christina's advice on BIF to keep my ISO on auto and my Shutter Speed on 1250 or something more not lesser.
See? I've been a good girl??? I can follow simple English instructions you know...:D :D :D

Thanks for the feedback Greg...'appreciate it very much...a bit too far from machinery but this will do for a while...

thanks for the feedback Graham...#7 is my favourite too...#8 looks too cartoony in my pp but I added it anyway...who would have guessed someone would like it???

Yes Gayathrie, it is my backyard...you can see the sticks that my step son and I put at the rocks there for the birds to fly into and rest and it is getting a good workout so I cannot remove it there yet...It took two bags of bird seeds to get to this stage of my photography...:D Thanks for the feedback and comments..

I don't think I have seen anyone post pictures of sparrows here before. This could be a first, Izzie :)
I like the 2nd shot - great caption, too.

Well Done Izzie, every one a Belter,;)

Re: No flowers here, but I found these... for C&C please...
I would have to go with the nuthatch. Well focused, good exposure, transverse branch could easily be cloned out.
Have the evil squirrels shown up yet?

Wow, great job Izzie! Catching small birds in flight is really difficult and look it did it several times! Very nicely done.

It makes me happy to view this set Izzie. You did your groundwork and pre-shoot set up and it paid off big time. A great set, I want to see more. I'm curious about your remote shutter release, did you use a motion detecting release? please provide details on that for me, I will be most grateful. :)

I can't remember that back if someone else did too, Greg...but this is the one that is plentiful in my backyard plus the cardinals, a few nuthatch and the robin of course..Thank you for your kind comments and feedback...

Thanks for passing by Randy...I've missed some of those comments from you by your long absence...:p And yes, there are some squirrel that I saw twice near the rocks by the branches near the fence because that was where the bird feeder was before...I saw two kinds -- the ground squirrel (chipmunks) which my husband is still saying he's he's gonna kill (found out we do not have a gun silencer anyway) and the regular tree squirrels which I kept telling the dogs they cannot go after because they can't climb trees...:D it seems that it is the chipmunk that kept at the seeds the birds dropped on the ground.
Thank you for your feedback and comment...appreciate it, mate...

Luck have it yesterday...I have been trying to nail these birdies for quite sometime, gave up, came back again and again until I got Geoff's comment about stressing about my bird shots. I changed tactics the next day...truth to say, I am still not happy with my pp with these and thought I need to repeat them so that was what I was doing most of the day today...
'Appreciate your kind feedback and comment. I had learned a lot from you and others too. Thank you.
