I am wondering, however, if offering matted prints, rather than matted and framed prints, might be a good idea. That way, the potential customers who view your prints could decide what type of frame would best suit their decor.
Richard - I did do so. I had order forms available on which people could choose to purchase a) a framed print; b) matted prints; c) print only.

Other Richard - I wrote when previously posting one of these images that what I find so wonderful and jaw-dropping is the depth of understanding that exists between man and horses. Just a noise; a word; a phrase or even a gesture and the horses respond. Similarly, the person driving the team is watching his charges and can read what they are about to do/'thinking'. If ever there was a prime example of man and animal in perfect harmony, watching a ploughing team in action is it.

I do wish I had spotted this before I went up to Edinburgh on the Saturday Donald, it would have been a pleasure to have come and supported. Let me know if you are doing it again as I am often up there with my family.

Re: First time exhibiting prints
Late to the party, but congratulations on your first exhibition. And further congrats on selling in your first exhibition. A concrete demonstration of appreciation of your work. Does it feel as though you have passed some sort of milestone in your development as a photographer? Are you now planning your next batch of pictures with half an eye to exhibiting them? Has it changed the way you tackle your photographs?
I can't be the only one who sees exhibiting their work as a goal. I had it as a two year plan last year, so only one year left in which to do it. Yikes! Luckily, I live in a big, arty city with a full blown arts festival every year. I really just need to make some contacts and someone, somewhere will show them. Not here saying that my work is stellar and that any exhibition space would be weeping gratitude to have them, just that there is such a wide variety of stuff on show in this city, from sublime professional to tentative amateur, that it will be possible to show them somewhere. To someone. I WILL DO IT! Any reflections for those aiming to get their work out there?
Re: First time exhibiting prints
Let me get back to you, Max. I'm just leaving and will be away until Monday with, thankfully, no computer access.
Re: First time exhibiting prints
Congratulations, Donald, and good luck. Wish I could be there to see them in person. I really appreciate your work.
