When you only need to set them on your tabletop and perpendicular to the tabletop (sometimes more intricate arrangements are needed), presentation board can be creased and then folded to be self-standing. No separate holders needed.

I have taken my first shots of some cut glass. I am about 50% there. Nothing postable yet.

When photographing cut glass, my experience is that it often produces a prismatic refraction that displays all of the colors in the spectrum that are visible to the human eye. Sometimes I like it when that happens, sometimes not. When I don't like it, I convert or desaturate to monochrome to get rid of it. I look forward to learning your experience with that situation.

On that note, glass is the only material I have photographed that produces light rather than just reflects it.
