These discussions always tickle my fancy since people rip on me for selling my D700 and D810 and moving entirely to the m43 world. I still print things at 24"x36" and no one can tell it's not full frame.
I've made 5'x7' prints with my D700
5'x7' ?
If I had a D700, I too could move to a G1 (12MP to 12MP). I could even move to a GH2 (16MP) and print even finer. So I'm not quite sure what your point is, sorry.

The point is many people talk about resolution and worry about MPs when they don't print anything larger than wallets. The D700 is 12MP and with some upsampling I was able to print large, really large, without the density of MPs mattering a lick. If Canon ever offers a 53MP camera, many people will pick it up because it's new, but the vast majority will never need that much information.

So that really was 5' by 7' mentioned in your previous post? I'm highly impressed!
That would be like, 4256px wide at 60 dpi, or re-sampled 8512px at 120 dpi, or something like that?
Please forgive my confusion because I don't print anything at all . . .

One would ask, what is the point of such a comment other than to belittle someone?
