Re: PROJECT 52, First Quarter;week 6 OH nuts.
I'm enjoying these Mark, perhaps it's because I'm a nuts and bolts man but it's good to see something both different and interesting.

Anyway, I like your project this week...and I am with Jack in his comment. Nuts and bolts are interesting subjects to me, as long as I do not turn nuts myself, if I am not yet.
Thanks Izzie, Some people think we are a little nuts to do this sort of thing:D.

I will try to get some different angles. But Given the size and shape of the object in #1 and 2 and the rare heavy dew It would be kind of tough. That's one problem I am having whit this type of photography. Often there is only one angle that I can get a shot . Because of the shape and size of the machinery :(
And #s3&4 are about 10 feet off the ground. But moving around is possible. It is raining pretty hard right now though.

I like each of these, but feel the third is missing something the others have. Somehow the B&W don't work for me but I really can't explain why !!

Thanks Kaye, I think #3 looks sort of flat compared to #4 They are taken from the same RAW file. #4 has a black gray and gold tritone. and a slightly different crop.

Re: PROJECT 52, First Quarter;week 6 OH nuts.
I did do some photographs of machinery parts yesterday. It was fun but I am not going to upload it yet. I have not PP it yet because I do not have time...:( But when I do, I will dedicate it to you...

Thanks Brian, I was sitting on the ground working on the first one and the second one just stuck out there so I had to shoot it:)

Mark, in your recent two images, I too much prefer the second one, the 'fork'. My only thought; clone out that metal rod loop in the upper right of center. I like the conversion you chose, kind of dust bowl-ly.

Thanks Jack, Brian resurrected those form week two. I completely missed that loop.:o When I converted it to B&W in Photoshop there was a little check box( I don't remember what it had printed next to it) so I thought "what does that do?
Well that"s what it did and I liked it so I kept it.:)

Re: PROJECT 52, First Quarter;week 6 OH nuts.
I like the first coloured one too. The colour adds a kind of definition and individality to that particular nut. If that doesn't sond too daft.

Re: PROJECT 52, First Quarter;week 6 OH nuts.
Mark, the work continues to grow well, I like the theme a lot - may have to go and look around the local farms sometime soon :)
#1 and #4 for me on the nuts, the colour on the first adds 'feel' to it, hard to describe really, the bronze look to #4 has a engineering sharpness that the B&W lacks for some reason.

Thank you Mark, By all means give it a go. I am having a lot of fun.:)
#4 is a Black, gold and gray Tritone.

Re: PROJECT 52, First Quarter;week 6 OH nuts.
Hi Mark,
I'm not a machine, nuts, bolts person so just to say thank you for sharing. Beautifully creative view points! The close ups of the nuts (especially the warm one) are my favourite for showing how a piece of metal can be beautiful.
