You are setting the bar very high for these types of shots :)
Hi Shane,
Glad you like it, I certainly do.
For info Shane, I use auto ISO with these and took 20 shots, the first 4 had this blueness to them and were just exposed differently and the remainder lost the blue, became grey and bland and difficult to pull any colour out. I'll have a go with a grey one to see what I can do with it.
Next to find a beach with some large pebbles on:)

Thank you David, I may just look into getting a print done, if I can find a decent frame here:)

Love the colour ... love the mood .... love the shot. Exquisite!
Re: Seascape 5 - Blue Morning
Hi Grahame,
Just to say as others have already said... Absolutely exquisite! Breathtakingly beautiful. My all time favourite image of yours. Truly magical!

Sometimes, I will pass on posting a comment if other folks have repeatedly said what I would have intended to say. However, this image did compel me to add my compliments to those already posted. As the image slowly unfolded onto my computer screen, (slow internet connection!) I actually said "Ooooo, that's really nice" out loud.

Grahame, I'm in the camp that says not to do a thing to change this exquisite image!!! It is absolutely stunning!
Re: Seascape 5 - Blue Morning
Excellent shot Grahame :)

Nevertheless, my son found a big flaw: nowhere to be seen, Olivier's copyright!
I told him that this is a very nice compliment and promised to post it!
Cheers Grahame.

In my book, you get a maximum points for this shot.
Congratulations.
Agreed.
Not to change anything in this particular photo, but when you photograph the scene again using a similar perspective, try getting just low enough to position at least a tiny bit of space between the bottom of the tree's leaves and the horizon.

Hi Binnur, thanks, I can feel another attempt at this scene on the cards as long as the boat remains there.

Daniel, say thank you to Oliver and here's a bit of advice for him from someone else that's learning, even boring skies can be useful at times, wait and watch.

Mike, you spotted it:eek:
It was the first thing that struck me when opening the images at home. You may recall a series I did a while back of this tree, without the boat, in far more sunrise lighting colours and on advice I managed to get clearance between tree bottom and the horizon.
I'm working from a pathway with a low wall between a 5ft drop to the shore and managed the separation last time by extending the tripod central column horizontally literally placing camera at wall height, I overlooked this totally this time.
I'll be back for another go whilst the boat remains there but I'm not going to get that light arrangement again:mad:

A study in Blue. That is gorgeous Graham. A real "wish I'd taken that" shot.
