Re: What about this one ?..
I think I got you wrong Mark :o Are you talking about a couple of single rocks by saying 3/4 rocks? I thought you meant the rocks at the right bottom corner and I was reluctant to crop the image because as you say the image would be spoilt if I did.

Re: What about this one ?..
Hi Kaye, I'm glad you liked it :) I think the darks are needed to be dark in order to make the sky and reflections look powerful for this particular image. But I will edit one more sunset image in B&W and I don't think the darks will be so strong in that image because of a different sky and composition. Believe me there are much more contrasty B&W and much more colorful landscape/sunset images of some photographers in some books and some articles I have been reading for some time. So, mine is just exploration and trial

The photo has an eerie feeling... like the calm before the storm. Very nice.

Beautiful Binnur! I don't think that the blacks are too black either and I like the fact that you are trying something different. In a way this image is cool because it doesn't have color and it allows the viewer use their imagination - was the sky on fire or a lovely shade of pink? I don't know and I don't care to be honest but you get the point.
