On a landscape kick

Taking onboard the advice from everyone that has commented this is my next effort.
I have tried to recover the lost detail in the shadows and gain some separation from the fog and sky, how does it look now?

That's a result Greg. It's a good mono.

Nice shots Greg; I could go either way with this image; you aren't running with so many colours that the B&W conversion is strictly necessary, but on the other hand, it works quite nicely as a B&W too.

John - that was my first thought as well, and find that a combination of the blue and aqua slider in combination often work better than just the blue slider. Once you try to get beyond that, I agree that you are going to get into more localized, rather than global adjustments.

Pushing up the clarity and vibrance sliders might be a good thing to try as well.

I suspect that both the B&W and coloured versions would have a bit more "pop" if treated this way.

The b/w certainly has more punch to it though the same could be had with a curves adjustment in the colour version.

Hi again Greg, I like the edit and if you push the clarity slider as Manfred suggests I think you will gain the details in the hay bales and you will have a more powerful image in general :)
