Re: Dragon Fly
David , do you find these ones in the woods or in your garden? They look very cute but I wonder it they harm people? If they are harmless I actually wouldn't mind having such a colourful and cute thing in my house
BTW do you have small pink lizards in your house ? They usually live in southern Turkey where it is warmer and they are cute and harmless, they eat flies . I'm sure you know them already. If you have some of them around I would love to see their macro shots:)

Re: Dragon Fly
Hi Binnur, you get these in the garden and around water, they don't harm humans but i don't think they make good house pets:p
I know the little lizards you mentioned, but they mainly come out at night here and you cant get near them:( They are amazing little creatures, if they loose their tail it grows back again!

Re: Dragon Fly
Great series David, they are a bit different to the dragonfly shots we see so often, impressive.
I have been a bit quiet lately due to commitments but hoping to get going again soon on the macro front.
Cheers, Grahame

Re: Dragon Fly
More great shots David.
Many of your shots make me wonder just how you obtain the colouration.and tones. :) I'm working on that in respect to popular web looks but yours are often different. Nicely so.
I do know of a couple of people who reckon they have been bitten by a dragon fly. Pass. I've seen many in the past and they don't seem to be very interested in people.

Re: Dragon Fly
Thanks John, the colouration of my images are as is, apart from a very slight touch of vibrance if needed, as i like to keep them as they looked when shot:) maybe the Turkish versions are slightly different from the U.K?
The way it devoured the fly i certainly wound not fancy a bite:eek: but as i said to Binnur, as far as i know, they do not bite us?:o

Re: Dragon Fly
Hello David: These are great shots. I particularly like the composition in Number 1. You have really captured the delicate texture of the wings.
