Beautiful birds, beautifully taken. All great but must make a special mention on #4 - that took some skill my friend. Dives are really hard to get. Well done.
Re: The Blue-footed Booby - Galápagos - Set 1
Great shots! They look as fast as Terns.
Re: The Blue-footed Booby - Galápagos - Set 1
Excellent series of photographs. Like everyone else that #4 captured my eyes. That is some missile.
A lot of patience and knowhow involved with these shots.

Right now it is difficult to see what part is dark rocks and what part is dark feathers. You already have very good sharpness in the Boobie and sufficient blur in the background so just a bit of brightness difference should make the Boobie stand out more clearly.
Hi, Frank, thanks for the idea. I will give it a try. Regards,

These are all great shots. For me it's #1. Great shot, lighting and crop. This makes me want to see the islands even more.

Hey Otavio, I only came across this thread today. Lovely set of images, a trip of a lifetime... what memories.
#1 and #3 are tight in the frame, either crop to allow more room around the bird or add canvas to the image to make more room. #6 is good but a less busy background would have made it better.
Re: The Blue-footed Booby - Galápagos - Set 1
Hi Otavio,
I saw this thread the other night, but it was late, so I decided to leave it until I was more awake to view it critically.
That sure is a great series you have here, I really can't add anything beyond the ideas Frank and Joe have suggested.
I quite like first close up, #2. because it is an unusual angle and as you can see his/her left eye between the beak, it shows how broad the face is, which is not so obvious in #7.
Now I need to find your other threads :)
Well done,

Hi, Joe. Good hearing from you again! Your point about the tight frame has raised a question to me:
Some people like tighter crops so that the bird is "bigger" on the screen and then you can observe/enjoy more details on it which, to me, is one of the great things of bird photography (to enjoy the bird details). On the other hand, other group of people prefer to have more room, as to give the image the sense of "the bird is free and going that way". So, I wonder if there is any consensus/general agreement on this? I would like to know your thoughts on it.
Thanks for your valuable feedback! Cheers,
